Bolt Graphics, a startup based in Sunnyvale, California, is seeking to raise approximately $100 million. The company is targeting a valuation of about $700 million to fund the development of its Zeus GPU.

The Zeus GPU is designed for scientific computing, professional rendering, and chip design, focusing on FP64 calculations. Bolt plans to target 3D artists and game developers before entering the gaming market.

The company completed a test chip on a 12-nanometre process from TSMC in April and finished initial testing in October. It has also opened an office in Taipei to coordinate with manufacturing partners.

Bolt aims to produce a commercial chip using a 5-nanometre process from TSMC, with a target size of 400 square millimetres. The company expects production to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027, with shipments projected for 2028.

The startup claims a sales pipeline exceeding $500 million and reports over 14,000 participants in its early-access programme. These figures have not been independently verified.
