Bolt has selected Nvidia’s Alpamayo Stack software to power its fleet of at least 25,000 autonomous Lucid vehicles. The partnership will begin in 2027 with a data-collection program in Madrid, where vehicles will operate without passengers to validate the system.

The vehicles will utilize the Nvidia Hyperion platform, which includes the Halos safety suite. Following the initial phase in Spain, Bolt plans to expand the autonomous operations into Germany and France. The project relies on Lucid’s upcoming Midsize platform, though existing Air or Gravity models may be used if the new vehicles are not ready by 2027.

Lucid currently holds orders for at least 60,000 robotaxis, including 35,000 units for Uber and 25,000 for Bolt. For context, Lucid delivered 15,841 vehicles in 2025 and 10,852 during the first nine months of 2026. These commitments represent nearly four years of the company's recent production volume.

Bolt is also pursuing a separate autonomous initiative with Pony.ai and Stellantis, which launched a pilot in Luxembourg in June. The company aims to have 100,000 autonomous vehicles on its platform across Europe and the UNECE region by 2035.
