Bolt.new, an AI-powered app builder from StackBlitz, has introduced a new mode called Forge. This initiative aims to develop a trillion-parameter open-weight AI model in collaboration with Arcee AI. The first training cycle for this model is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with the final results intended for public release.
Pro users of the platform can now receive a 50x increase in usage limits. In return, they must share anonymized session data used to train the upcoming model. Bolt and Arcee AI have established a formal data processing agreement to ensure that no personally identifiable information is retained during this process.
Forge currently utilizes models such as GLM 5.3 Flash and experimental variants. According to the Bolt Build Index, these open models achieved a score of 92.2, while the leading proprietary model scored 101.0, representing a performance gap of approximately 9%.
Arcee AI, established in 2023, previously developed its 400 billion-parameter Trinity model for approximately $20 million over six months. Meanwhile, Bolt.new, which relaunched in late 2024, is currently estimated to generate around $40 million in annual recurring revenue.
