Estonia-founded web security firm Blackwall has secured $100 million in a Series C funding round led by AVP. The investment brings the company's valuation to $2.2 billion, positioning it as a significant player in the European cybersecurity market. Existing investors Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures, and Tera Ventures also participated in the round.
The company, originally known as BotGuard, was co-founded by Nikita Rozenberg and Denis Prochko. Its platform provides web security and traffic management services, including bot mitigation, DDoS protection, and web application firewalls. Blackwall currently processes billions of requests daily for millions of websites, primarily serving hosting, cloud, and managed service providers.
Blackwall plans to utilize the new capital to expand its operations into 12 strategic regions across North America, Europe, the Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. The funding will also support the development of new traffic security products tailored for cloud and hosting infrastructure providers.
The investment follows a previous funding round in March 2025, when the company raised €45 million. The current valuation reflects a substantial increase in the company's market position in under two years. According to industry data, the European cybersecurity sector saw €1.3 billion in funding across 64 rounds in the first half of 2026.
