Blacksmith Software Inc., a startup specializing in continuous integration cloud services, has reached a valuation of $1 billion following a $66 million Series C funding round. The investment was led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Peak XV Partners, Y Combinator, and GV. This latest injection brings the total capital raised by the company to $125 million.
Founded in 2024 and led by CEO Aditya Jayaprakash, Blacksmith provides a dedicated cloud infrastructure for automating software builds and testing. Unlike traditional setups that rely on third-party cloud providers, Blacksmith operates its own hardware across multiple global locations to manage unpredictable testing workloads.
The platform currently serves over 10,000 companies, including LangChain, Supabase, and Granola. The company reports that it now processes approximately 90 million code checks per week, a significant increase from five million in early 2026. Annual recurring revenue has grown 17-fold during the same period, reaching the tens of millions of dollars.
Blacksmith plans to allocate the majority of the new funding toward purchasing additional servers to expand its global CI cloud capacity. Furthermore, the startup intends to increase its workforce from approximately 40 employees to 75 by the end of the year.
