BlackRock has transferred 54,096 ETH and 2,015 BTC to the Coinbase Prime platform. According to Arkham Intelligence, these assets are linked to the operational management of the iShares Bitcoin Trust and iShares Ethereum Trust.
Coinbase Prime acts as the primary custodian and execution agent for these ETFs, managing activities such as asset acquisition, settlement, and redemptions. These procedures are detailed in the company's regulatory filings with the SEC.
On-chain data from Arkham Intelligence and Lookonchain indicates that such transfers are part of a recurring operational pattern. Historical deposits have varied in value, ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars.
In December 2025, a recorded transfer involved 2,019 BTC and 29,928 ETH, valued at approximately $273 million. Additionally, in mid-September 2026, the firm withdrew 656.71 BTC and 5,150 ETH, worth roughly $62 million.
Analysts emphasize that these movements reflect standard ETF mechanics driven by investor activity rather than directional market bets. Deposits and withdrawals are routine processes required to maintain the underlying asset backing for fund shares.
