Bit2Me, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Spain, is shifting its business model from retail trading to B2B infrastructure services. In 2025, the company began liquidating confiscated digital assets for Interpol, Europol, and the Spanish police, processing €1.5 million worth of crypto into fiat currency using Chainalysis tools.

The exchange reported that B2B operations now account for 27% of its total revenue. Trading volume for the year reached €5.3 billion, marking an eightfold increase compared to 2023. The platform currently supports over 300 digital assets and provides institutional custody services insured by Lloyd’s for €150 million.

To obtain its Crypto-Asset Service Provider license from the Spanish regulator CNMV, Bit2Me invested €2.5 million and 3,000 work hours. This authorization makes it the first platform in Spain to operate under the European MiCA framework, which allows for service expansion across the European Union, with Portugal identified as a target market.

The company's investor base includes Tether, Bankinter, and Telefónica. Bit2Me’s strategy involves leveraging its long-term partnership with Chainalysis to maintain compliance and facilitate cooperation with law enforcement agencies, mirroring models used by platforms like Coinbase in the United States.
