Russian hosting provider Beget reported that a cyberattack occurring between November 1 and November 2 resulted in the near-total destruction of its cloud infrastructure. The company is currently rebuilding its architecture and management services from scratch.

The provider stated that full recovery of data for virtual private server (VPS) clients is impossible. Preliminary estimates suggest that backup files will be available for only half of the users, and the restoration process for these files will require additional time.

Regarding shared hosting, over 60 percent of servers are currently operational, while the remaining units suffered more significant damage. Beget aims to restore all projects from backups, though the company is still reconstructing internal system data, including account-to-service mappings.

The company is currently reconfiguring its network to integrate hosting and backup servers for mass restoration. Once this process is complete, user access to the control panel will be restored. Billing and secondary services are scheduled for recovery at a later stage.
