Balerion Space Ventures has exceeded the $200 million target for its second investment fund. The firm announced that the fund remains open for further capital commitments.

The new fund is more than five times larger than the company's debut fund, which raised slightly less than $40 million. By May, the second fund had already secured approximately $90 million.

Daniel Kleinmann, cofounder and general partner at Balerion, attributed the growth to the success of portfolio companies in achieving technical milestones and securing subsequent funding rounds.

The firm intends to reserve a portion of the capital for follow-on investments. This strategy aims to support portfolio companies as they reach significant commercial, government, and technical goals.
