Thai energy company B.Grimm Power intends to build a 250 MW data center in partnership with an undisclosed foreign firm. This project contributes to the company's updated 2030 capacity goal of 500 MW, which was increased from 300 MW just one month prior.

Chairman Harald Link attributed the strategic shift to rising demand for data centers fueled by artificial intelligence. Beyond the new project, the company is evaluating potential developments in South Korea and Japan with a combined capacity of approximately 200 MW.

B.Grimm currently collaborates with Singapore-based Digital Edge on a hyperscale campus in Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor. This facility, designed for 96 to 100 MW, secured a green loan of $880 million. The first phase is expected to launch between late 2026 and early 2027.

With an existing power generation capacity exceeding 3 GW, B.Grimm aims to leverage its renewable energy portfolio to attract tech clients. The 500 MW target represents roughly one-sixth of the company's total current generating capacity.
