Amazon Web Services has introduced the AWS Well-Architected Agent, a new service designed to audit customer cloud environments. The tool provides actionable recommendations by analyzing infrastructure configurations, utilization metrics, and application topology against established best practices across more than 65 AWS services.

The agent is currently available in three commercial regions: US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), and US West (Oregon). According to the company, the service evaluates cloud environments by correlating data similarly to an experienced cloud architect.

This launch follows broader AWS investments in AI and cloud infrastructure. The company previously announced a $1 billion cloud incentive program for the U.S. intelligence community and a separate $1 billion investment in a Forward Deployed Engineering organization to support AI development.
