The Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 is priced at $1,299.99, while a bundle including XR glasses, a Pelican case, and a Dbrand Killswitch case costs $2,499.99. The device retains the same AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip as the original Ally X, resulting in identical gaming performance.
Key hardware updates include a 7.4-inch OLED display, which is larger than the 7-inch IPS screen on the previous model. The handheld also features new TMR joysticks, rubberized grips, and a transforming D-pad that switches between 4-way and 8-way modes.
The chassis design has been updated with a transparent black plastic case, gold menu buttons, and a 20th Anniversary badge. The menu button layout now includes a dedicated screenshot button instead of a library button.
The device is equipped with an 80 Whr battery. Testing in a 17W performance mode with God of War: Ragnarok showed approximately 2.5 hours of battery life. Connectivity options include USB4 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a microSD card reader.
Asus continues to offer the original Ally X, which is priced at $999.99. The X20 model represents a $300 price increase over the standard version.
