Astra Group has introduced RuBackup Catalog Granular Recovery (RuBackup CGR), a solution designed for large organizations with distributed domain infrastructures. It integrates Astra Linux Directory Pro (ALD Pro) with RuBackup to enable online backup and granular recovery of LDAP directory objects and attributes without stopping services.

The system allows for scheduled or manual backups with data compression and encryption. Administrators can compare the current directory state with any backup, identifying modified, deleted, or moved records. Detailed reports on attribute changes can be exported in PDF or CSV formats for auditing purposes.

Unlike traditional methods requiring a full directory restore, RuBackup CGR enables the recovery of specific objects and attributes, including those from the recycle bin or permanently deleted items. The system generates a preliminary report before restoration to minimize errors and supports temporary password assignment.

The solution integrates with security infrastructures, supporting Kerberos authentication and mandatory access control environments. It features a multi-user access model that separates the roles of backup operators and administrators through LDAP group membership, ensuring controlled management of domain data.
