Cybersecurity startup Armadin Inc. has secured $255.5 million in a Series B funding round, bringing the company's valuation to over $2.5 billion. The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel, with participation from GV, Kleiner Perkins, Menlo Ventures, and Ballistic Ventures.

Founded last year by Kevin Mandia, who previously established Mandiant Inc., Armadin utilizes swarms of AI agents to identify infrastructure vulnerabilities. The platform operates within a sandbox environment to prevent harmful activity while conducting security assessments.

The system can deploy tens of thousands of agents simultaneously to map internal systems and scan assets. In one project, the company utilized 26,000 agents to scan over 25,000 assets, identifying 38 verified attack paths. This exercise was characterized as the largest autonomous AI attack recorded.

Beyond vulnerability detection, the platform provides remediation advice and prioritizes high-severity security issues for internal teams. Armadin plans to allocate the new capital toward accelerating research, AI training, and go-to-market initiatives.
