ARK Invest, led by Cathie Wood, recently executed a significant acquisition of shares in Nvidia and SpaceX. The firm invested approximately $100 million into these two technology companies within a single day, continuing its strategy of increasing exposure to the artificial intelligence and space sectors.

On November 4, 2026, ARK acquired 348,406 shares of SpaceX for roughly $47.4 million. This purchase was distributed across three of the firm's exchange-traded funds: ARKK, ARKQ, and ARKW. The transaction followed a 3.8% decline in SpaceX stock prices after the US midterm elections.

Earlier, on September 29, 2026, the firm made its largest single-name purchase of the period by acquiring 356,681 Nvidia shares for approximately $81.6 million. On that same day, ARK also added about $1.3 million worth of SpaceX stock to its portfolio.

SpaceX has recently entered public markets under the ticker SPCX. The company is currently expanding its focus on AI infrastructure, including a partnership with Nvidia that involves the exclusive use of the Vera Rubin platform. ARK continues to actively manage its positions in both companies.
