According to recent reports, Apple is developing the iPhone 18e, which may feature a 6.12-inch LTPS OLED display. The device is expected to retain a 60Hz refresh rate, consistent with previous entry-level models. ProMotion technology is not anticipated for this series until the 2028 iPhone 19e release.
The smartphone is rumored to be powered by the A20 chip, potentially utilizing a 2nm manufacturing process. This would mark a transition from the 3nm A19 chip found in the iPhone 17e. While performance and efficiency gains are expected, these technical specifications remain subject to confirmation by the manufacturer.
Camera upgrades for the iPhone 18e include a potential shift to a 24-megapixel front-facing sensor, doubling the resolution of the 12-megapixel camera in the current iPhone 17e. The rear configuration is expected to remain a single 48-megapixel lens, with no significant hardware changes reported for the main camera module.
The iPhone 18e is projected to launch in the spring of 2027. It is expected to debut alongside the standard iPhone 18 and the iPhone Air 2. Apple has not officially confirmed these specifications or the release schedule, and all details currently stem from industry leaks and projections.
