Apple has reportedly agreed to new pricing terms with Samsung Electronics for memory and storage components. Starting from the first quarter of 2027, Apple will procure LPDDR5X memory at $2 per 1Gb and NAND flash storage at $0.33 per 1Gb.

These figures represent an increase from the 2026 rates, when Samsung supplied LPDDR5X memory at $1.5 per 1Gb and NAND flash at $0.26 per 1Gb. Industry reports suggest that this shift in component costs could lead to further price hikes for future iPhone models.

While Apple has accepted these updated terms, other smartphone manufacturers are taking a different approach. Reports indicate that companies including OPPO and vivo have rejected Samsung's proposal to increase the prices of memory components during recent negotiations.
