Apple has introduced the Apple Home Collection, a new lineup of smart home devices including cameras, thermostats, sensors, a smart door lock, and a video doorbell. These products were co-developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The launch also includes HomeView, the company’s first smart display.

The new devices feature one-tap setup and do not require separate accounts or third-party applications. All products support end-to-end encryption. The hardware utilizes the Thread protocol for connectivity, and the smart lock supports the Aliro standard for local operation.

Apple is partnering with ADT to provide installation services through its retail stores. While the new collection is designed for deep integration with the Apple Home ecosystem, the company maintains its commitment to the Matter standard and will continue to support third-party devices.

The products are priced between $200 and $400. Camera functionality requires an iCloud Plus subscription for history storage. The thermostats support Apple’s Clean Energy Guidance and Adaptive Temperature features, while the LG lock offers hands-free Home Key unlocking via UWB.
