Ando, a new team messaging platform, has officially launched after exiting stealth mode. The application is designed to integrate AI agents directly into workplace communication alongside human employees, allowing agents to participate in channels, join group conversations, and initiate messages independently.

The startup has secured $20 million in combined pre-seed and seed funding. The investment round was backed by Accel, Index Ventures, and Emergence. The company plans to utilize these funds to expand its team and increase its computational resources for AI operations.

The platform currently serves clients across the software, real estate, and finance sectors in 15 countries. While many of the initial user teams are small, the company aims to enable these organizations to operate at a larger scale by delegating coordination and research tasks to AI agents.

Founder Sara Du developed the platform to address limitations in existing tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams, which treat AI as external add-ons. Ando provides agents with their own identities and inboxes, enabling them to process information across multiple channels and suggest decisions to human team members.
