AMD is seeing massive demand for its upcoming Venice server processors, with supply already booked through the end of next year. Industry insider Jukan reports that the company has begun accepting pre-orders for units scheduled for production in 2028, even though the product line has not yet officially launched.
The initial rollout of the Venice series is set for the end of this year with SP7 socket models, while the remaining versions are expected to debut in the first half of 2027. These chips are notable for being the first 2-nanometer x86-compatible processors available for the server market.
Morgan Stanley analysts project a significant growth in sales volume for AMD. The company is expected to sell 6.75 million server processors next year, compared to 1.25 million units in the current year. This represents a 5.4-fold increase in annual sales volume.
In financial terms, these sales are estimated to reach approximately $51 billion. Given that AMD is already securing orders for 2028, the company is effectively locking in future revenue streams well ahead of its production schedule.
