Amazon has received the first batch of 27 Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 electric trucks in Germany. This delivery is part of a larger order placed by the company in early 2025, which includes over 200 vehicles in total. Most of these trucks are destined for operations in the United Kingdom, where deliveries commenced at the end of 2025.

The company plans to have more than 50 eActros 600 units operating on German roads by the end of 2026. These vehicles are designed for logistics transport between distribution centers and urban areas. Each truck is equipped with a 621kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a range of up to 500km.

To support its electric fleet, Amazon is installing hundreds of charging stations across Europe. These facilities are designed to charge the trucks from 20% to 80% in one hour. This infrastructure project aims to optimize vehicle turnaround times for the company's logistics network.
