Alrosa is migrating its corporate IT infrastructure to the Astra Linux operating system and the ALD Pro directory service. The project aims to establish a secure, manageable environment independent of foreign software and international sanctions.

The company has already completed the architectural design, infrastructure planning, and compatibility testing. The ALD Pro service is currently deployed across three sites in Moscow, Novosibirsk, and Mirny, enabling centralized management of users and group policies.

To meet FSTEC Russia security requirements, the team developed approximately 100 group policies for both server and client segments. Integration with existing information systems remains an ongoing process.

The final migration phase involves transitioning users to Astra Linux 1.8 in three waves. The first two waves cover users with standard software, while the third wave includes those with specialized applications.

Alrosa plans to complete the full migration of all corporate workstations to the new software stack by the end of 2027. This transition follows previous collaborations with Astra Group, including the deployment of the WorksPad mobile app and the Tantor DBMS.
