Alibaba Cloud has officially announced the discontinuation of its virtual human product line due to a strategic shift. The company will stop accepting new subscriptions for these services starting November 30, 2026. Existing customers will retain access to their purchased services until their current contracts expire.

The platform will cease all operations on November 30, 2027. On this date, the console, technical support, and ticketing services will be permanently shut down. Alibaba Cloud has advised users to process any refund requests before this final deadline to ensure they are handled appropriately.

To maintain business continuity, Alibaba Cloud recommends that current users migrate to alternative solutions available on its marketplace. Suggested replacements include digital human products from Ant Lingjing, FaceUnity, and Yizhi Intelligent AI, which offer similar capabilities for live streaming and interactive services.

The virtual human platform was developed by the Tongyi Laboratory to provide end-to-end solutions, including avatar customization and AI-driven animation. It has been utilized across various sectors, such as education and media, for tasks ranging from automated video broadcasting to interactive customer service.
