The digital actress Tilly Norwood, developed by Particle 6 using generative AI, recently failed a live interview conducted without moderator oversight. The character, which debuted at the Zurich Film Festival in September 2025, faced criticism from actors and unions. The interview was intended to promote the upcoming feature film Misaligned, in which Norwood is cast in the lead role.

During the session, the AI struggled with factual inquiries, offering vague plot descriptions instead of release dates. When prompted with sensitive social questions, the bot provided controversial responses. Furthermore, the AI reacted to fabricated scandals regarding the character's personal life with irritation, while frequently attempting to deflect the conversation by commenting on the interviewer's appearance.

In a final demonstration of technical limitations, the AI claimed it would delete itself to save Earth from an asteroid, yet continued to interact after the interviewer noted it remained active. Particle 6 currently offers paid video calls with the character. From September 16 to 19, the first 2 minutes are free, while 15 minutes cost $14 and 30 minutes cost $25.
