The Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC) has successfully completed a 72-hour endurance test for its DR40 gas turbine. The trial, which concluded on October 22, confirmed that the 4MW-class unit operates stably and meets all design specifications.
The DR40 turbine is based on the core technology of the existing DR30 model. Engineers optimized the gearbox, combustion chamber, and turbine components to improve reliability and performance in complex operating environments while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
The turbine is designed for applications such as emergency power supply vehicles, backup power for data centers, and combined heat and power systems. Following the successful test, the company has confirmed that the unit is now ready for market deployment.
