Developer Game of Tobi has successfully ported the classic title The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to the Nintendo New 3DS handheld console. The project currently supports the device's autostereoscopic 3D display feature.

The original game was released by Nintendo in 2006 for the GameCube and Wii platforms, followed by an HD remaster for the Wii U in 2016. To create the port, the developer utilized a community-driven decompilation project.

While the game is now playable on the New 3DS, the port currently faces technical hurdles. Users may encounter frame rate drops, stuttering, and graphical bugs, such as textures or assets appearing abruptly during character movement.

The developer is currently focusing exclusively on the New 3DS hardware. He is soliciting community feedback to decide whether to release the New 3DS version first before potentially expanding support to the standard 3DS model.
