Zeekr conducted a stress test on the seating materials of its updated Zeekr 009 minivan. The test involved driving nine company vehicles, ranging from the 1.9-ton Zeekr X to the 2.9-ton Zeekr 009, over a piece of polyurethane foam. The combined weight of these vehicles reached approximately 20 tons.
Following the initial phase, a 20-ton Farizon Homtruck H heavy-duty truck drove over the same material. According to the manufacturer, the foam structure remained intact after the test. Subsequent inspections confirmed that the material maintained its vibration-damping properties without any degradation.
The seat design features a three-layer sandwich structure. It consists of a top layer of high-elasticity foam, a middle layer of dense quick-response material, and a softer bottom layer. Zeekr claims this configuration is 1.5 times more effective at absorbing vibrations than standard automotive foam.
The cabin of the Zeekr 009 includes captain chairs in the second row finished in Nappa leather. These seats offer 180-degree rotation and a zero-gravity mode. Additional features include power-operated footrests, 22-point massage systems, as well as heating and ventilation functions.
