The Jinshan Shijiehao satellite, also known as Yunyao-1 28, departed from the company headquarters in Tianjin on October 9. The satellite is currently en route to the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, with a launch scheduled for the end of October.

This project marks the first commercial satellite fully designed and developed in Tianjin by Yunyao Aerospace. The development process, including assembly and environmental testing, was completed in August, confirming the satellite is ready for flight.

The satellite features a proprietary GNSS occultation and sea reflection integrated payload. It is designed to collect environmental data on the atmosphere, ionosphere, oceans, and land for high-precision meteorological observations.

Additionally, the satellite carries an Atom space robotic arm, a selfie camera, and a display screen for in-orbit testing of intelligent space operations. These experiments aim to develop new maintenance technologies for commercial spacecraft.

Data from the Yunyao-1 series is integrated into the China Meteorological Administration system, providing tens of thousands of occultation profile products daily. The team will now conduct pre-launch checks and rocket integration at the base.
