Yandex has introduced a major update for its Alice AI assistant, featuring an automated system that selects the appropriate AI model based on query complexity. The service now dynamically allocates resources, choosing faster models for simple tasks and more advanced ones for complex requests.

The new Expert mode is designed for specialized tasks, including finance, law, medicine, travel planning, and shopping. Users can trigger this mode manually, or the system will activate it automatically when it detects a need for document analysis, calculations, or detailed planning.

Within the Expert mode, users can upload multiple files for simultaneous analysis and review the reasoning process behind the AI's responses. The system utilizes an agent-based architecture to manage task sequences, maintain context, and integrate with external services for information retrieval.

The routing system evaluates each incoming request to determine the necessary computational resources and model capabilities. This update is currently available to all users without any usage restrictions.
