The official Litecoin account on X posted a video mocking XRP on November 5. Supporters of XRP responded by sharing a CoinMarketCap chart comparing the performance of both assets over the past three years. The data indicates that while XRP has seen growth, Litecoin remains below its starting price level.

Market data shows that XRP has more than doubled in value since late 2024 and consistently maintains a position in the top 10 cryptocurrencies since 2014. Conversely, Litecoin is currently trading more than 85% below its May 2021 peak of $410. Earlier this year, the asset hit multi-cycle lows.

The rivalry between the two projects has persisted for years. In August 2025, the Litecoin account publicly mocked Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and dismissed XRP market activity. Despite the ongoing social media conflict, XRP continues to attract capital, with US spot XRP ETFs recording inflows even during periods when Bitcoin and Ethereum funds saw outflows.
