US spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds reported a combined net outflow of $530 million on Thursday. This decline occurred as cryptocurrency markets experienced a sharp downturn, with Bitcoin falling below $76,000.
Data from SoSoValue indicates that Bitcoin ETFs accounted for $430 million of the total outflows, while Ether funds saw approximately $100 million in withdrawals. This follows a period of growth, as the funds had recorded $128 million in combined inflows on Wednesday.
Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund led the withdrawals with $200 million in outflows. Meanwhile, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust recorded $105 million in net outflows, marking its fifth consecutive session of losses with over $1 billion withdrawn since October 30.
Following the market activity on Thursday, the year-to-date net outflows for Bitcoin ETFs reached approximately $510 million. The broader market decline coincided with a 5.5% drop in the Nasdaq Composite index, representing its largest single-day decline since April 2025.
