XPeng Aeroht has officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah on September 18. This partnership marks the first time a Chinese flying car manufacturer has entered a national regulatory sandbox in the UAE.

The collaboration focuses on establishing an advanced air mobility regulatory sandbox under the supervision of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority. This initiative is the world's first regulatory sandbox dedicated to personal low-altitude flight operations.

XPeng Aeroht will conduct systematic flight tests in the Middle East to gather data on performance in extreme conditions, such as high temperatures and sandstorms. The tests will evaluate battery life, airspace adaptability, and operational safety.

The company is also exploring commercial applications, including luxury tourism, urban air shuttle services, emergency rescue, and oil platform inspections. Additionally, planning for a demonstration route between Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah has commenced.
