Xiaomi has unveiled its smart manufacturing facility in Changping, which utilizes the iBrain system to automate production processes. The platform integrates sensors, actuators, and decision-making algorithms to create an autonomous environment for smartphone assembly.
The system significantly improves operational efficiency by optimizing assembly parameters. For instance, the installation of a battery cover requires a precision gap of 0.05 mm. Previously, manual parameter adjustment took engineers about four hours, but iBrain now completes this task in two minutes.
Furthermore, the platform reduces downtime by accelerating troubleshooting. The time required to identify and resolve production line issues has dropped from two hours to three minutes. The system continuously evolves by accumulating data from past operations to refine future decisions.
