Xiaomi has officially teased the upcoming Redmi K100 standard model, which will ship with the HyperOS 4 operating system. The new software includes features like load calculation for precise resource management and memory preloading to ensure applications have necessary resources ready in advance.
The device features the D2 dedicated gaming chip, marking its first inclusion in the standard series. This integration enables 144fps gaming in Honor of Kings at extreme graphics settings, while reducing average power consumption by 1.1W. The phone is positioned in the 3500 CNY price range.
Hardware specifications include the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition processor and a 165Hz high-refresh-rate gaming screen. The base configuration offers 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device also includes a large battery with 100W fast charging support.
Additional features include a new Firefly Green color option, a large vibration motor, and Bose dual speakers. The company states that the standard model inherits the comprehensive performance standards previously reserved for the Pro series.
