A new Xiaomi smartphone model, identified as M786BC, was registered with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on September 18. Market observers expect this device to be the standard version of the Redmi K100 series.

The Redmi K100 product lineup was previously outlined by Wei Siqi, General Manager of Xiaomi China's Marketing Department, during the K100 Pro series launch event on August 11. The series is set to include the K100 Pro Max, the K100 Pro, a standard model, and a dedicated gaming flagship.

Leaked specifications for a device rumored to be part of the K100 series suggest it will feature a high-refresh-rate flat display and a dual-chip performance platform. Additional hardware details include symmetrical dual speakers, a large-sized vibration motor, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, and IP68-rated dust and water resistance.
