Xiaomi is testing updated prototypes of the SU7 Ultra electric sedan at the Nürburgring track. The new test vehicles feature significant aerodynamic modifications, including a redesigned front bumper with a large splitter and aero skirts. Engineers also added louvers above the front wheels and installed prominent side skirts to improve airflow.

The rear of the vehicle has received extensive upgrades, most notably a large twin-plane rear wing with swan-neck mounts. The design suggests the inclusion of an active Drag Reduction System, similar to those found on high-performance sports cars. Additionally, the prototypes are equipped with a new carbon fiber diffuser to increase rear downforce.

The testing also highlights potential mechanical adjustments. The prototypes feature large carbon ceramic brake discs. While the current production SU7 Ultra delivers 1,548 horsepower, Xiaomi has previously showcased a quad-motor powertrain capable of producing 2,054 horsepower, which could be integrated into future versions of the model.
