Xiaomi has introduced its first full-color day and night security camera, the Smart Camera 5 Pro. The device is currently available for crowdfunding at ¥429, with a suggested retail price of ¥599.
The camera features a dual-lens system with 8MP and 4MP sensors, supporting 4K resolution. It uses integrated soft lighting and algorithms to capture color images in low-light conditions, offering multiple night vision modes for various scenarios.
Equipped with a local AI platform delivering 1.5 TOPS of computing power, the camera identifies humans, pets, and crying sounds. Its dual-motor gimbal provides 360-degree horizontal rotation and a 174-degree vertical field of view.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 6, which reportedly increases transmission speeds by 60 percent. Users can store footage via microSD cards, cloud services, or NAS, while the device includes privacy features like lens masking and local data processing.
