Xiaomi has launched the Smart Camera 5 Pro Full-Color Night Vision in China. The device features a dual-lens system with 8 MP and 4 MP sensors, supporting 4K video recording. It is equipped with an AI chip capable of 1.5 TOPS, which handles image processing and event detection locally on the device.
The camera includes a rotating mechanism for tracking people and pets. It uses infrared illumination for night vision and automatically switches to full-color recording when a human is detected. Users receive notifications based on recognized events, and the system supports two-way voice communication.
A notable feature is the gesture-controlled video calling system; users can initiate a call to a smartphone by making an OK gesture. The camera is currently available on JD.com for ¥500, with an introductory price of ¥440. International availability has not been disclosed.
