Xiaomi has launched the Smart Camera 3, featuring a 5 megapixel sensor capable of 3K resolution. The device is equipped with an F1.6 aperture lens and a high-sensitivity image sensor, which allows for color imaging in low-light conditions. For complete darkness, the camera utilizes 940nm infrared fill lights.
The camera includes a dual-motor pan-tilt system providing a 360-degree horizontal and 109-degree vertical field of view. It incorporates six AI detection modes tailored for monitoring homes, children, and pets, with automated notifications sent upon detection. The device also supports two-way real-time voice communication.
Storage management is handled by AOR all-day recording technology, which optimizes microSD card usage by reducing unnecessary footage. The camera also features time-lapse photography, allowing users to condense long events into 15 to 60-second clips. Connectivity is provided by a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 chip.
The Smart Camera 3 integrates with the Xiaomi HyperOS ecosystem, enabling interaction with other Mi Home devices. Users can manage the camera and share access with family members, with support for viewing feeds on smartphones, tablets, and Xiaomi TVs. The product is currently priced at ¥179 for the initial sale.
