Xiaomi has launched crowdfunding for its first Mijia-branded shoe washing machine. The device, known as the Shoe Washing Machine 3kg, is currently priced at ¥799 during the campaign, with a future retail price set at ¥1299.
The compact vertical-load machine occupies 0.18 square meters of space. It features a 3kg capacity, allowing users to clean between two and four pairs of shoes per cycle. The system utilizes a 360-degree rotating brush mechanism and a water impeller to remove dirt from the soles, uppers, and inner linings.
The appliance offers eight cleaning modes, including quick, standard, and intensive cycles, as well as spin-drying and self-cleaning. A quick wash takes 20 minutes, and users can schedule operations up to 24 hours in advance. The machine is suitable for sneakers, sports shoes, and children's footwear.
The manufacturer reports antibacterial efficiency rates of 99 percent against Trichophyton rubrum, 99.8 percent against Escherichia coli, and 99.6 percent against Staphylococcus aureus. The company advises against washing leather, delicate, or expensive footwear in the unit.
