Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Night Light 4, which is now available on JD.com for ¥70, or approximately $10. The device, previously featured on the Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding platform, introduces a 24 GHz radar sensor for motion detection.
The radar sensor covers a 120-degree field of view with a range of 3 meters in front and 2.5 meters to the sides. It triggers the light automatically, turning it off 10 seconds after the user leaves the detection zone. A continuous lighting mode is also available.
The design uses indirect lighting, where LEDs face the wall to reduce glare and flickering. Users can select from four brightness levels: 1, 3, 5, and 15 lumens. The device is powered by an 800 mAh battery, rechargeable via a USB-C port.
Battery life varies based on usage: the light lasts up to three months on maximum brightness and up to eight months on the minimum setting. Mounting options include a magnetic base, adhesive backing, or a hanging mechanism, allowing for easy removal for charging.
