Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Body Fat Scale 4 Pro in China, marking the first model in the series to feature a built-in rechargeable battery. The device is equipped with a 450 mAh battery that charges via USB-C, providing approximately 150 days of usage based on three daily measurements.

The scale features a 300 by 300 mm tempered glass platform with an ITO conductive coating, eliminating the need for specific electrode placement. It supports users with shoe sizes up to European 48 and can measure weights ranging from 0.1 kg to 150 kg with 50 g precision.

The device tracks 25 body composition metrics, including visceral fat levels, and includes a heart rate monitoring function. Users can view trends directly on the built-in display or sync data with a mobile app. The scale supports up to 36 user profiles, including specific modes for infants, teenagers, and pets.

Measuring 300 by 300 by 25.5 mm and weighing 1.6 kg, the scale requires Android 8 or iOS 12 and above for app connectivity. Pre-orders are currently open on JD.com for $22. The company notes that the provided health data is for informational purposes only and not a medical diagnosis.
