Xiaomi has launched an invitation-only beta for its new desktop application, Xiaomi MiMo Desktop. The software is designed to assist with professional workflows by integrating AI-driven tools directly into the user's desktop environment.
Participants in the beta program gain free, limited-time access to two new-generation models: MiMo-X-Pro-Preview and MiMo-X-Flash-Preview. The application processes various file formats, including PDFs, images, videos, spreadsheets, and audio recordings, without requiring manual formatting.
A key feature of MiMo Desktop is its ability to generate interactive previews for web pages, office documents, and game prototypes. Users can interact with these results directly within the chat interface, allowing for immediate modifications and testing without setting up a local development environment.
The application includes an automated agent system that selects the most efficient model based on task complexity, speed requirements, and execution costs. This mechanism aims to optimize resource usage during complex workflows.
MiMo Desktop also features autonomous browser control, enabling the software to open web pages, search for information, fill out forms, and extract materials. It uses the browser as an execution environment to verify results and streamline data collection.
