Xiaomi has officially announced that its HyperOS 4 system now offers comprehensive compatibility with the Apple ecosystem. The update enables seamless file, photo, and contact sharing, as well as two-way synchronization for notifications and messages. A key addition is the integration with Apple AirDrop, which is powered by Google's Quick Share technology.

The HyperOS 4 update, which debuted on the Xiaomi 18 Pro series on September 23, 2026, focuses on system fluidity, cross-device connectivity, and the Super XiaoAi 2.0 AI assistant. The system is built on the proprietary HyperCore kernel. The AirDrop-compatible file transfer feature requires Apple devices to set their AirDrop visibility to 'Everyone' for 10 minutes.

Xiaomi has also expanded its cross-platform support through the 'Xiaomi Interconnectivity' app available on the Apple Watch App Store. This application allows for notification streaming and health data synchronization between Xiaomi smartphones and Apple Watch Series 6 or newer, SE 2, or Ultra models running watchOS 11 or later.

For desktop and tablet integration, the 'Xiaomi Interconnectivity Service' app allows users to mirror their Xiaomi phone screen on Mac or iPad. This feature requires macOS 12 or iPadOS 14 and above. Users must be logged into the same Xiaomi account and share a network connection. The system also supports cross-device unlocking using Apple's Touch ID or Face ID.
