Xiaomi has officially concluded the closed beta testing for its AI interaction project, known as Xiaomi miclaw or 'Lobster,' on September 21. The service for all beta participants has been terminated following the six-month testing period that began in March.
The project was developed based on the proprietary MiMo large language model. During the testing phase, the company focused on evaluating stability, power consumption, and task execution success rates in complex scenarios, limiting access to tech enthusiasts and power users.
The company clarified that Xiaomi miclaw is incompatible with the Xiaomi HyperOS 4 update. Users who upgrade their devices to the HyperOS 4 beta version will be automatically removed from the miclaw program, though this action will not affect their eligibility for the Super Xiao Ai expert mode promotional benefits.
