Xiaomi has confirmed that its new 18 Pro smartphone series exclusively utilizes TLC flash memory, with no QLC variants available. Industry reports indicate that the storage components are sourced from multiple suppliers, including SK Hynix, Kioxia, and the domestic manufacturer Feicun Shantu. The latter utilizes memory chips and controllers developed in collaboration with YMTC.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, specifically the 512GB model, incorporates a mix of SK Hynix and Feicun Shantu components. All configurations across the 18 Pro lineup adhere to the TLC standard, ensuring consistent memory architecture across the series.
Launched on September 23, the Xiaomi 18 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition processor, manufactured using a 2nm process. The device is equipped with a 7000mAh battery and a 6.4-inch display with an M11 light-emitting system, reaching a peak brightness of 4000 nits.
The smartphone includes a Leica-branded triple-camera system and a secondary rear screen. This rear display supports dynamic notifications and AI-driven widgets, with over 100 applications available at launch. The starting price for the Xiaomi 18 Pro is set at ¥5999.
