Microsoft Xbox CEO Sarah Bond recently held an all-hands meeting to address the company's strategic direction. During the session, she emphasized the necessity of developing new, long-term intellectual properties to ensure future growth, noting that relying solely on past successes is not a viable strategy for survival.

The company is currently increasing its investments in gaming, aiming to create global franchises worth billions of dollars. Bond highlighted the strong market performance of titles such as Gears of War: E-Day, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and World of Warcraft: Infinite as key indicators of this renewed focus.

Data shows that the Xbox brand's favorability has increased by approximately 30% over the past year. Following a period of decline in player engagement, time spent, and revenue, the company's first-party games have returned to growth. Bond stated that current growth rates are two to three times higher than the previous low point.
