Users of the social network X in the United States can now perform trading operations directly from their news feed. The platform has integrated a new feature using cashtags, which are hashtags prefixed with a dollar sign to represent specific asset tickers.

The service allows users to trade stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies by clicking on these interactive cashtags. This action redirects users to real-time charts and discussions, providing a direct link to execute trades through the platform's partner brokers.

The list of official partners includes Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Gemini, Kraken, and Coinbase. To complete a transaction, users must navigate to the partner's website or mobile application, register, and log in to their account.

This initiative builds upon the existing practice of financial discussions on the platform, which originated with the Stocktwits mechanism in 2008. The integration is part of the broader development of the X Money payment system.
