The cross-chain messaging protocol Wormhole has officially partnered with Elysium, an EVM-compatible Layer 2 network developed by Kinetiq. The collaboration aims to provide Elysium with access to Wormhole’s infrastructure for cross-chain messaging and asset transfers.
Technical integration between the two platforms began prior to the public announcement. Wormhole introduced support for the Elysium mainnet in its v2.69.0 software release on October 22, 2026. The formal partnership was subsequently announced on November 5, 2026.
Elysium is scheduled to launch its mainnet on November 9, 2026. The network is designed to support decentralized finance applications and memecoin projects. Developers can utilize existing EVM-compatible tools and code to build on the platform.
The network utilizes the HYPE token for gas payments. Consequently, an increase in transaction volume or network activity on Elysium is expected to drive demand for HYPE. During its testnet phase, the project attracted interest from various launchpads and decentralized exchanges.
