OlympusDAO has transitioned its OHM token bridging infrastructure to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). This migration replaces the previous LayerZero integration across seven blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Berachain, Optimism, Solana, and Robinhood Chain.

The change was formalized through the OIP-198 governance proposal, which received community approval on November 2, 2026. The DAO opted for CCIP to consolidate bridging routes into a single official path, following the discontinuation of LayerZero V1 on several layer-2 networks.

The new system utilizes a lock-and-release mechanism on Ethereum and a burn-and-mint model on destination EVM chains. OlympusDAO has implemented independent rate limits for each route and direction, with several EVM paths capped at 100,000 OHM to manage liquidity and security.

Token holders are not required to perform any manual actions, as existing OHM contract addresses remain unchanged. The transition restores cross-chain functionality for users on networks where the previous bridge had become unavailable, while maintaining the same interface for transfers.
